lettuce, chopped (one large or two small heads); salt and pepper
baby spinach 8 oz; more salt and pepper
four tomatoes, chopped (or grape/cherry tomatoes cut in half)
10 oz. green peas, steamed (I use less than this)
8 hard boiled eggs, rough chopped
8 oz. cheddar, grated
dressing
one pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
Combine dressing ingredients, mix well, spread to edge of dish to seal and cover:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 sour cream or plain yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar
½ - ⅔ cup fresh grated parmesan, optional
Chill salad overnight.
