2 teaspoons butter
¼ cup chopped onion
2 pounds ground sirloin
1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
1 cup tomato juice
½ cup barbecue sauce, divided
1 egg
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic salt
Heat oven to 350. Saute’ onion in butter until tender. Combine onion with other ingredients until well blended. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Remove from oven and spread remaining barbecue sauce over top. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand five minutes prior to slicing.
